Casey Bond was raised in Peachtree City, GA, a small golfing community just south of Atlanta. Growing up, he always had an interest in movies and the acting world, but it was not until his college days at Lipscomb University in Nashville, TN, that he began to pursue acting with a higher intention.
After playing four years of Division 1 college baseball, Bond was drafted by the San Francisco Giants, and played professionally for a few years. Although this was one of his childhood dreams come true, it soon became apparent that another opportunity would arise which would lead him to Los Angeles and the entertainment industry.
Before ever moving to L.A., Casey was fortunate to land a national commercial after flying from Nashville to Los Angeles multiple times before finally landing the role. This became the start of an already successful career before stepping foot onto the L.A. scene.
Within less than a year after making the jump from Professional Athlete to Actor, Casey quickly displayed his acting chops and landed a supporting role opposite Brad Pitt, Philip Seymour Hoffman, Jonah Hill, Chris Pratt, and Robin Wright in the highly anticipated and star-studded film ‘Moneyball’. Bond plays the role of CHAD BRADFORD, a young southern Christian submarine pitcher from Jackson, Mississippi whom Billy Beane (Brad Pitt) acquires as a “specialty reliever” for his Oakland A’s ballclub. Chad was a very intricate part of the A’s unconventional way of scouting and acquiring players, which led to the revolution called “Moneyball.” The film is based on the Michael Lewis book with the same title, and was nominated for six (6) Academy Awards.
Along with taking acting classes with the legendary Larry Moss at his studio, among others, Bond has been a spokesperson for numerous companies, doing print ads for A.D.I.D.A.S., Nike, Muscletech, along with commercials for One A Day Men’s Vitamin’s, Nike, Blue Bunny and others. Also, he has appeared on the popular reality show “Gene Simmons Family Jewels” as the handsome handyman. Many other projects and videos which can be viewed on his Facebook Page!
In addition to acting, Casey has also started his own production company called Campbell Clan Productions which is currently working on an Untitled Feature Film.
Additionally, Casey is the lead in the Faith Based/Inspirational Sony film “Ring the Bell” (as SCOOTER), which comes out on DVD April 9th, along with acting in his current role on the hit ABC show NASHVILLE as “GIL MARTIN.”
