Casey was drafted by the San Francisco Giants in 2007 as a Center Fielder after his senior year at Lipscomb University. He played professionally for two years before moving on to his next goal in life, a successful career in the entertainment industry.
This passion lead to acting classes during his offseason with the Giants, and eventual move to Hollywood. Within six months of arriving in Hollywood he quickly shot to the top of the entertainment world by landing the role of “CHAD BRADFORD” in the star-studded and Academy Award nominated film “MONEYBALL” which also starred Brad Pitt, Jonah Hill, Philip-Seymour Hoffman, and Robin Wright.
His next film found him as the lead, playing the role of “DANNY COOK” (Scooter) in the SONY Provident film “RING THE BELL“.
Casey has acted in countless commercials, TV shows (from “Gene Simmons’ Family Jewels” to NASHVILLE), print ads, and short films along with being a spokesperson for multiple companies.
Casey recently filmed an episode for the ABC hit series “NASHVILLE” as “GIL MARTIN” who was the Mayor’s (played by Eric Close) Press Secretary along with portraying the role of “TOMMY DOREHTY” as part of the ensemble cast for the film “UNDRAFTED” which will hit the big screen in 2014.
The movie on Legendary Coach Don Meyer, which he produced and was a lead actor (role of Jerry Meyer), called “MY MANY SONS” was a major passion project for Casey and is now available across all media platforms.
Currently, Casey is a part of the Main Cast in the Hank Williams biopic titled “I SAW THE LIGHT.” He played the role of the legendary Jerry Rivers who was the fiddle player in Hank’s band, The Drifting Cowboys.
Casey’s most recent produced and acted project is the award winning “THE MEANEST MAN IN TEXAS” which has not yet been released, yet has gained a very large following and interest on the film festival circuit.
